Community course catalogue

Enter the course you want to share in the community.

2. In the navigation tree, click Settings.
3. Click Properties.
4. Under Permissions, check the box behind Allow AICC communication and click Save.
   
   
5. Go back to Settings.
6. Click Community course catalogue.
7. Check the box in front of Available in the itslearning Community?
   
8. In addition, you can edit the following options:
   • Language used in course: Select the language that is used in the course from the drop-down list.
   • Applications are sent by e-mail to: Enter the e-mail address of the person to receive the applications from users wishing to enrol in the course. Make sure that the e-mail address is correct. If the e-mail address is incorrect, you will not receive any applications.
   • How to enrol in course: Select the method of joining the course. The options are:
     • Application: The users have to send an application to the above-mentioned address in order to join the course.
     • Open: Anybody can enrol in the course.

9. Click Save

1. Click the Courses tab.
2. Click Find more courses.
3. Click Community course catalogue.
4. Use the search field to search for courses to enrol to. You can limit the hits by country and language. Select the preferred country and language from the drop-down list.
5. Click on the course you want to enrol to.
6. Click Apply to course if you need to apply, or Join course if the course has open enrolment.
7. When your application is accepted, or when you have joined the course, the course appears in your course list with all the other courses in which you participate.

When users browse for courses in the itslearning community, the following information shows: Title, admission type, who's responsible (with an e-mail link to that person), code, country, language, location and description. If you change this information in itslearning, you have to update the information in the itslearning community manually by clicking Save and update course information in the courseSettings >> Community course catalogue.

Click Course >> Settings >> Community course catalogue, and uncheck the box Available in itslearning community. Then click Save and update course information.

Note: Even if your course is no longer available in the community, it is still available for the participants in the course. The course is available as long as 'Allow AICC communication' is enabled (Course >> Settings >> Properties).

When your course is published in the itslearning community, you can decide whether those interested have to send an application to enrol. You can then choose whether to reject or approve the applications. If you choose to publish the course as Open anybody can enrol in course.

Note: Even if Application is selected as an option in How to enrol in course, the course is still openly available through AICC. The enrolment rules apply only when enrolment takes place in the itslearning community.

Applications are sent to the e-mail address specified for the course when it is published in the itslearning community. The course administrator receives an e-mail containing two links: one is for rejection and the other for approval. One of the links are clicked.

You can also see a list of all the applications in the itslearning community. Search for your own course and click it. You can see who has applied and their status. This list is available for course administrators only.

A person that is approved as a participant in the course will see the course in the courses list in itslearning. When the participant has opened the course for the first time, he or she is added as a member.

This is because participants are not necessarily itslearning users (they may come from other learning platforms). E-mail is recommended as a means of communication.

Yes. By adding links in a course, and selecting AICC HACP Communication in the Communication interface drop-down list, you can use external resources that support AICC communication.
