Sound and video recorder

Language learning in itslearning (or any other virtual learning environment) has until now been synonymous with written exercises. With the video recorder you can now learn to practice the spoken parts of the language. Teachers can record video with sound in, for example, assignments that present the assignment in the language being learned. In turn, the participants answering the assignment can train their pronunciation and the general spoken skills of the language they are learning. Thus you are now able to add both written and spoken elements for learning a language through itslearning.

In language courses the sound recorder is in most cases sufficient, but if you want to add video to the course you can use the video recorder.

Are you far away from the class you are teaching? Whether you are distance teaching or only away for a short time, you can use the video or sound recorder to record lectures and publish them in itslearning. The video or sound recorders are not a substitute for a classroom lecture, but they are useful.

If not recording an entire lecture, you can supplement, for example, written hand-outs or other documents with introductions or comments on sound or video. For some, it will be easier and faster to add sound or video files than to write the comments.

If you are recording a lecture, the video recorder is a good choice because video recordings are more personal compared to sound recordings. When using video recordings, you can also show examples etc. in front of the camera – much as in a normal classroom situation.

In drama and music education, the sound and video recorders can be useful in, for example, assignments that are submitted in itslearning. Use the video recorder to record acting techniques, such as mimics, facial expressions and gestures, stage performance or music.

The sound recorder cannot catch such things as mimics or gestures, but it is useful when practising vocal performances and other sound-related tasks.

The sound and video recorder is a useful tool for those who are studying both radio and TV journalism. Use the recorders to practice, for example, radio interviewing techniques, or get accustomed to the camera for working with television.
